# Meme Finance
mefi: A one-stop solution to your idle meme coins.
## What is mefi?
Meme Finance (mefi) is a decentralized non-custodial finance protocol that launched on October 11, 2022. It is built on the Ethereum blockchain. mefi operates on a very simple financial model: users borrow ETH against their meme coin assets. The borrower can use the ETH as they see fit and get their collateral back in full, as long as the full loan amount plus interest is repaid within a specified time frame.
